Admissions Procedure

Thank you for your interest in our program.  As an authentic Montessori school, we follow the principles set out by Maria Montessori.  We find that as a result of this pedagogy, our children develop their sense of independence while maintaining a feeling of responsibility toward the world around them.  Our family-friendly environment provides for a partnership between home and school to help maximize your child’s overall development.

If you are new to our schools, please complete our online inquiry form and a member of our staff with contact you.  Please see below for further details on our admissions procedure.

Infant, Toddlers and Primary

1. Schedule a visit to the school. This visit is recommended for parents only; however we do understand that childcare may prove to be a challenge. If this is the case, you may bring your child with you but please keep in mind that you are responsible for him.

2. Complete the application and submit with a $75 application fee.

3. Schedule a visit for your child to see the school.

4. Upon acceptance, return your signed contract with the registration fee and deposit/installment. This will reserve a place for your child in one of our classrooms.

5. Prior to your child’s first day, submit your child’s physical and immunization records.

6. Call 847-705-1234 to schedule a meeting with our executive or educational director.

7. Bring an original birth certificate on your child’s first day. It will be copied for his file and returned.

Elementary and Erdkinder

1. Schedule a visit to the school. This visit is recommended for parents only; however we do understand that childcare may prove to be a challenge. If this is the case, you may bring your child with you but please keep in mind that you are responsible for him.

2. Complete the application and submit with the application fee: $100 for elementary or $200 for Erdkinder.

3. Sign a release form allowing open communication between our school and your child’s former school.

4. Our school may observe your child in his current school or home environment.

5. Schedule a visit for your child to spend time in our school (typically 1-3 days).

8. Upon acceptance, return your signed contract with the registration fee and deposit/installment. This will reserve a place for your child in one of our classrooms.

6. Prior to your child’s first day, submit your child’s physical and immunization & School records.

7. Bring an original birth certificate on your child’s first day. It will be copied for his file and returned.

The following is our School’s priority enrollment preference procedure:

1) Returning students maintain first priority
2) Present member’s sibling receives second priority
3) Montessori transfer students receive third priority
4) Outside applicants

Tuition & Fees

Montessori Academy of North Hoffman offers programs for Elementary (1st through 6th grade) at Freeman East, Erdkinder (7th through 12th grade) at Freeman West. MANH offers programs for Infants, Toddler  at Huntington and Primary (ages 3 through 6) at all three campuses. Please contact the school for current program offerings and tuition rates.

Financial Aid

Tuition Assistance is available to existing students only. Students must be in attendance for at least one year to qualify. Assistance is offered to children attending our Elementary or Erdkinder programs and is based on financial need.
